Prevalence, Maternal Outcome, Placental Changes and It’s Correlation with Perinatal Outcome in Unbooked Patient’s of Iron Deficiency Anemia During Third Trimester

Background: Anaemia is the commonest medical disorder in pregnancy and severe anaemia associated with poor maternal perinatal outcome. Methods: The study was done to analyse characteristics of hospitalized pregnant women (Haemoglobin < 7gms %) at time delivery find out It a prospective saraswathi institute sciences,hapur,U.P, India over period one year from February 2019 January 2020. Results: Results were analysed; 3784 deliveries 210 (5.54%) cases severely anaemic delivery. Out 184(87.6%) patients belonged low socioeconomic category, 177 (84.2%) unbooked cases, 152 (72.4%) rural area 119 (57.6%) multi gravidas. complications Pre-eclampsia eclampsia (16.1%), intercurrent infections (3%), abruptio placentae (3.3%), heart failure (1.4%), preterm labours (42.8%), intrauterine deaths (10.9%) postpartum haemorrhage (10.4%). Conclusions: Severe during morbidity mortality so effective preventive measures form regular antenatal check-ups iron supplementation will prevent women.
